Content creator paves the way for women in sports media
As a content creator, Vanessa Tomaszewski brings creativity and passion to France’s sports industry. Over the last several years, Vanessa’s sports media platform, @championsdudigital has amassed a sizable following on social media, enabling Vanessa to turn her passion into a career. Vanessa worked as a freelance reporter and content creator for the Union of European Football Association (UEFA) and was the reporter for the French national team at the UEFA Women’s Euro in England. These experiences gave her the media expertise and global sport knowledge to emerge as one of the most prominent female voices in France’s sport sector.
Vanessa has worked extensively with France’s top brands and professional clubs in the sport industry to develop their community and social media presence through a series of content on TikTok in particular. For Vanessa, sharing the stories of athletes and fans across her networks is the most rewarding part of her career.
As her professional accomplishments gain traction around France, she has developed instructive materials for entrepreneurial growth, inspiring other women to pursue careers in sport. Vanessa has spoken at a variety of women’s conferences around France about women’s sports, the fan experience, and the place of women in sport and society.
At the GSMP, Vanessa hopes to gain insights into leading and managing a business, technical skills for engaging a global market, and practical knowledge about how to implement her creative ideas in her work.
Vanessa will be mentored by Kate Jackson, Vice President of Production, and her team at ESPN in Bristol, Connecticut.
