Sport integrity consultant promotes fair play in the global sports arena

Abiding by her core beliefs of integrity and respect, Nita Gjikolli has emerged as a leading advocate for Safe Sport in Kosovo and around the world. With a lifelong appreciation for sport and its overarching positive benefits, she decided to pursue a master’s degree in Sport Ethics and Integrity at KU Leuven in Belgium. After graduating from the Safeguarding Officer in Sport program of the International Olympic Committee, Nita pioneered a research project on Safe Sport in Kosovo, that is currently being conducted with world renowned experts on sport safeguarding. She also serves as the Anti-Doping Coordinator of the Biathlon Integrity Unit in Austria and the Head Educator of the Kosovo Anti-Doping Agency. Nita’s passion for sport integrity has enabled her to travel across the world and connect with leaders and educators in sport from a variety of backgrounds and disciplines.

Nita is looking forward to connecting with her peers and mentors at the GSMP to develop effective strategies on creating safe sport environments in Kosovo. She will be mentored by Shay Wallach, Associate Director of Inclusion; Gretchen Miron, Director of Inclusion; and their team at NCAA in Indianapolis, Indiana.
