Harnessing Nature's Power: A Mission to Transform Lives Through Outdoor Sports

Maria Cristina Copa Zárate is the Bolivian Regional Director for Acceso Panam and the Subdirector of Mujer Montaña Bolivia.

Originally, Cristina’s career path took her to Ecuador with a transnational company, where she achieved several personal milestones: supporting her family, traveling, and enjoying a comfortable lifestyle.

During that time, Cristina began embracing outdoor sports as therapy, finding solace and strength in the mountains during the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, Cristina is dedicated to using outdoor sports as a tool for change.

She is committed to helping women heal and empower themselves through sports, encouraging children to find joy and resilience in outdoor activities, and promoting respect for nature through outdoor education. Her mission is to reciprocate the happiness and wisdom she has gained from life and nature by inspiring and uplifting others.

Cristina will be mentored by Kate Jackson, Vice President of Production, and her team at ESPN in Bristol, Connecticut.
