Leveling-Up the Knowledge in Indonesia

As a Gender, Disability, Social Inclusion (GEDSI) advocate, Annisa Pratiwi amplifies the voices of underserved communities in Indonesia. With over a decade of experience in the media landscape, including roles at NET. TV (ESPN FC Indonesia & Lentera Indonesia), Kompas Daily, and the Poverty Data Management team at the National Team for the Acceleration of Poverty Reduction through Social Welfare Center, Annisa has mastered skills in broadcasting media, advocacy, and community empowerment to help reach her goals. Inspired by her passion for inclusivity, Annisa founded the Pratiwi Sportiva Learning Center, which empowers women, youth, and individuals with disabilities through inclusive sports programs.

Annisa believes that by promoting inclusive sports as a catalyst for social change, she can help empower individuals and break down the barriers for those in underserved communities. She wants to raise awareness about the transformative power of sports while inspiring action, fostering supportive environments, and breaking down barriers to ensure equal opportunities for all. She hopes to accomplish these goals by advancing gender equality, disability inclusion, social integration, and accessibility in sports.

At the GSMP, Annisa is excited to learn about how to best implement effective strategies for developing and managing inclusive sports programs, including understanding the best practices in creating accessible sports environments, promoting gender equality, and integrating individuals with disabilities into various sports activities. She also plans to enhance her leadership skills and become a more influential advocate for diversity and inclusion within the realm of sports and beyond.

Annisa will be mentored by Tina Acosta, Director of Program Outreach at Turnstone Center.
