HUNGARIAN ENTREPRENEUR LEVERAGES COMMUNICATION AS PLATFORM FOR CHANGE
With a master’s degree in sports management as her foundation, Ildikó Mihók has gained extensive experience in the world of sports. Over the past 10 years, she served as marketing and communications leader for multinational corporations and the Hungarian Olympic Committee. There she oversaw the development of their marketing, communication and sponsorship strategy, and facilitated the largest Hungarian sports communication campaign in history for the 2012 Olympic Games in London.
To make an even bigger impact on women in sport, Ildikó operates as a freelance consultant with a focus on marketing, communications, and sport sponsorships for individual clients and organizations. She is currently coordinating Sport Hungary, one of the biggest sports conferences in her country.
Through her GSMP experience, Ildikó hopes to learn the skills needed to implement cost-efficient and creative solutions in sport business, to leverage her platform to advance gender equality in the field and throughout her country, and to support women in their professional careers through networking and mentorship.
For GSMP: Empowering Women through Sports 2019, Ildikó will be mentored by Carol Stiff, Vice President of Women’s Sports Programming at ESPN, and her team in Bristol, Connecticut.
